IT Project Manager - Leading West-Country Brewery

Excellent opportunity for an IT Project Manager/IT Manager ideally from a warehousing, distribution or hospitality background to join a much-loved West Country brewery founded in 1978. An understanding of distribution would be useful as would XaaS experience and a working knowledge of NAV.

The IT Project Manager Role:

The roleholder we be required to:

+ Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects

+ Serve as liaison between the business and technical aspects of projects.

+ Assist in project planning and assess business implications for each stage

+ Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met

Projects may include software solutions, hardware or XaaS. Initial projects will include NAV reimplementation and infrastructure upgrades.

Job Duties and Tasks:

+ Develop and manage project budgets with the Group IT Manager

+ Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources

+ Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment

+ Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards and GDPR compliance

+ Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve issues.

+ Negotiate with suppliers to obtain resources.

+ Establish and execute a project communication plan.

+ Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.

+ Initiate or review modifications to project plans.

+ Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects.

+ Jointly manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope

+ Align duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel

+ Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies

+ Assess current or future business needs and priorities through communicating directly with business personnel.

The Candidate

Essential:

+ A sound educational and technical background with IT related fields

+ Proven working experience as an IT project administrator deploying business systems of all types to both office and trading outlets.

+ Strong communication skills

+ Solid organisational abilities including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

+ Prepared to travel and stay away overnight

Preferred:

+ Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, versions (2007 upwards)

+ Previous experience in Dynamics NAV upgrade / implementation project

+ Business analysis, requirements gathering and documentation experience

+ Microsoft SQL Server understanding
