Network and Infrastructure Engineer

Network and Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT team in Coventry.

As a Network and Infrastructure Engineer you will be required to:
*Provide specialist IT Technical Support and Administration of IT Network and Server Infrastructure for the Network and Security Specialist for day to day operations and new project developments, whether public facing or internal services.
*Diagnose and troubleshoot in cases of escalated incidents, managing these up to final resolution.
*Conducting problem management of incidents where the root cause remains unidentified or permanent resolutions are not in place.
*Provide 3rd level technical support services to the IT Department, mentoring and assisting to develop knowledge of junior members of IT.
*Review existing infrastructure designs, leading when necessary to meet project deliverables, tools and processes identifying possible enhancements and improvements.
*Occasionally travel to remote sites within the UK and abroad.
The Network and Infrastructure Administrator will ideally have exposure to:
*Juniper & Cisco networks, implementation and administration.
*Cisco Wireless, implementation and administration.
*Strong experienced in managing high-availability networks, configuring and maintaining routers, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, switches, VLANs etc..
*Network management tools, monitoring, security, backup and recovery
*Knowledgeable of server and storage technologies
*Understanding of Microsoft technologies
*Understanding of Linux technologies
*Understanding of virtual server technologies.
*Cisco CCNA or Juniper certification would be desirable but is not essential.
In return for your skills and experience my client is offering a salary of up to £35,000 plus an excellent company benefits package!
