QA AUTOMATION TESTER: (VSTS, SELENIUM, JENKINS)

The role is based in Crewe and is a 3 month contract paying between £400-£420 per day.

Job description

You will be part of a scrum team and work alongside QAs from other scrum teams in a scaled agile setup. You will be expected to automate as much of your testing as possible and run your test suite as part of continuous integration (where your tests form part of your codebase). By enabling testing the code automatically every time developers make a change, you'll be able to find defects more quickly. Providing fast feedback means development team can respond to any problems quickly and make changes when need to.

Main Responsibilities:

* Being able to take ownership for your own work and follow test strategy determined for the team Implementing an integrated Quality Approach in a DevOps ecosystem

* Providing input into Quality Automation to fit the CICD approach

* Taking care of quality check for production, deployments of new changes/ Enhancements / Bug fixes etc.

* Knows API tests that will ensure there is coverage of both expected and unexpected behaviour Taking responsibility for test coverage within the team where necessary

* Discuss with business on requirements/ bugs/ changes and prioritize the work item

* Work on the application problem management and identify bugs/issues to improve the stability and performance of the application.

* Enabling one-click DevOps Test Environment and Test Data solution to teams

* Works to design and implement non-functional tests that will ensure there is coverage of both expected and unexpected behaviour. These can be automated or manual tests.

* Works to maintain tests and ensure regression testing is performed to avoid regression issues.

* Creates, triages and re-tests defects. Works to reduce future defects by providing analysis of the causes of defects.

* Will be required to develop technical documentation and carry out hand over.

* Able to hold complex test discussions with architects, SMEs and Operational Teams

* Have worked within the UK public sector.

* Good to have knowledge of working in MS Dynamics CRM project or any CRM project.

* Good team working and collaboration skills

* Very professional in approach and able to understand the sensitivity of the environment
