The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is the leading membership body in the UK within the profession of planning and as such, it works closely with government, influencing policy and legislation. With over 25,000 members worldwide, the RTPI develops and supports its members throughout their careers. It is the only body in the UK that confers Chartered status to planners, the highest professional qualification sought by employers and is responsible for maintaining professional standards and accrediting world class planning courses nationally and internationally.

This is a key role for the RTPI which will help ensure that we see the benefits of a new CRM system which is due to be introduced in November.

In this role you will manage the CRM in line with effective business practice and data protection regulations and deliver the responsibilities of Data Protection Officer for RTPI. You will manage the future development of data infrastructure to meet the RTPI’s long term strategic goals and establish an organisation wide ‘data culture’.

You will have extensive experience of using and developing data infrastructure, user experience of Microsoft Dynamics including producing and communicating reports and experience of vender management across complex supplier interrelationships. You will also have experience of integrations which third party systems and defining business processes and responsibilities. A good understanding of data protection regulations is desirable and experience of working in the membership sector would be an advantage.
