Lead / Senior Software Developer - Java / Middleware

Monthly Rate: AED 40k-50k + healthcare

Initial 12 Month Contract

Dubai, UAE

As a global organisation serving over 60 countries worldwide, our client is looking for a talented individual to join their headquarters in Dubai as a Lead / Senior Developer to focus on Java / Middleware technology within the Mobile App / Mobile Web development team.

Skills

*Experience working in a continuous integration context.

*Experience working on commercial software products with large user deployments.

*8 years of Java / Middleware programming experience.

*Experience with travel related apps preferred.

*Experience designing and implementing Microservice architectures.

*Able to influence the technical direction of internal and external teams

*Able to mentor development staff on relevant Java technologies.

*Detailed knowledge and understanding of key frameworks.

*Detailed knowledge and understanding threading and performance tuning of Java backend solutions.

*Experience evaluating and leading the adoption of new technologies and techniques.

*Experience with performance and memory tuning tools.

*Proficient understanding of GIT code versioning tools.

Key Responsibilities

*Responsible for breaking down complex technical problems into simple, implementable solutions.

*Maintain a full and complete understanding of solution interdependencies and limitations.

*Envision and realize a Microservice architecture on the Java platform

*Manage the technical factors related to the resilience, performance, quality, and responsiveness of solutions

*Ensure technical features are delivered to support all non-functional requirements.

*Guide development staff to exploit identified new techniques and strategies to work more efficiently.

*Overall responsibility for code quality and development level testing.

*Overall responsibility for code reviews.
