LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR - GLASGOW - 3 MONTHS

We have an urgent opportunity live in the West of Glasgow with our client who requires a contractor to join them to alleviate project pressure and assist in the smooth running of their day to day activities.

Our client is seeking a driven and diligent individual to take on the role of a Linux System Administrator. This role will involve the installation, configuration and maintenance of Unix and Linux systems to provide 24/7 infrastructure. You will have to apply thorough problem-solving techniques to identify the source of the problem and own issues through to resolution.

For this role, you must have significant experience in:

* Red Hat Linux administration

* Server Virtualisation

* Application/Web Server Administration (Apache/Tomcat/Weblogic)

It would be desirable for you to have experience with:

* AIX administration

* Pseries hardware exposure
