Senior Software Engineer, with experience in Windows applications, is urgently required for innovative market leading, Oxford business.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for Windows service software hosted on IIS or running on their own. You will be relied to take the company's existing application and create higher level abstraction APIs for a variety of devices to access. You will need to have strong analytical, architecture design and troubleshooting skills and a proven track record delivering high quality complex software solutions in this area.

How your day will look.

* Designing and documenting software systems for connected devices.

* Implementing, testing and debugging application software.

* Implementing unit testing as part of the development process.

* Performing code reviews as part of the development process.

* Supporting the demonstration, deployment and maintenance of software systems.

* Providing software technical authority for all or part of a project.

* Contributing to the planning and estimation of project schedules.

* Working closely with a small team of software engineers.

* Collaborating with engineers from other disciplines on system designs, APIs, interfaces and protocols.

* Maintaining configuration control of source code.

* Reporting progress of development to the programme/project manager.

Are you experience with developing following technology?

* Microsoft Visual Studio, to develop/debug and deploy/publish software solutions.

* C# & SQL.

* Microsoft SQL server.

* Reports using Microsoft SQL server reporting services.

* Windows Services & IIS hosted services.

* NET Frameworks, ASP .NET, ASP.NET MVC.

* Object Oriented / Functional Programming.

* Service-oriented architecture.

* Version control for managing source code.

Desirable Skills.

* Network Protocols - TCP/IP & HTTP/HTTPS.

* The ability to read and understand specifications and protocols.

* Developing Client/Server applications

* Good understanding of modern cloud architecture and related technologies.

* Capable of producing detailed and accurate software design documentation.

* Knowledge and experience of the full software development life cycle.

Experience in developing IIS web applications with JavaScript/Angula2 front-end, designing of Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) using XAML, developing HTML5 web applications, developing APIs for Android, IOS, and UNIX/Linux applications and Agile/Scrum will make you a very attractive candidate.
