The successful Technical Architect must have the following duties/responsibilities:
* Building and maintaining a culture of continuous delivery and improvement
* Collaborating on requirements and solutions with one or more Agile teams
* Ensuring development teams are aware of and adhering to the principles, standards and best practices set out by the Design Authority
* Producing, reviewing and improving best practices, standards and principles in line with the direction set by the Design Authority
* Escalating design issues to the Design Authority where necessary
* Championing ideas/changes/designs that you and/or the team believe are beneficial, influencing key stakeholders where appropriate
* Ensuring an appropriate level of design documentation is produced and updated
* Ensuring that developed software complies with non-functional software requirements such as accessibility, security, UI/UX, performance, maintainability and deployability
* Assisting the Product Owners and Business Service Manager to prioritise the backlog by providing insight into technical benefits that changes might achieve
* Coach and mentor junior staff.
* Shape and lead technical options assessments to help create an IT landscape that supports and enables the business.
