Informatica Developer to be based in Derby on an initial 3 Month contract. Experienced Informatica Developer must have knowledge of Powercenter Version (9.x, 10.x).

Job Title - Informatica Developer

Location -Derby

Rate - £ 390 per day

Duration - 5 Months

Required Skills & Experience:

* 6+ years of software development experience and preferably a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, computer engineering or other technical discipline

* Informatica Powercenter Version (9.x, 10.x)

* Informatica Powercenter use of web services and messaging queues.

* Sourcing, parsing and generation of xml files through Informatica

* Oracle 10g/11g, SQL Server 2005/ 2008 (2012 a bonus) including the development of stored procedures and query performance monitoring.

* Knowledge and practical design and development experience of Data Warehouse concepts.

* Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas

* Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work as part of a team

* Experience with RDBMS platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza, Teradata, DB2 / UDB)

* An understanding of an Agile framework would be advantageous, but not essential

* BPSS clearance with the ability to attain SC clearance, as required

General responsibilities include:

* Liaise with business analysts, review and comprehend complex business requirements.

* Create application design and development specifications, carry out Informatica development activities

* Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models with both traditional 3rd normal form as well as dimensional modeling, such as star and snowflake, facts and dimensions etc. to ensure the information models are capable of meeting end user and developer needs

* Create unit test specifications and carry out methodical unit testing of delivered software.

* Facilitate design sessions with the ETL designers to specify a scalable, robust and efficient data integration suite of jobs

* Delivery of source system matrix including batch schedule, data acquisition strategy

* Design robust , scalable and efficient Informatica workflows that use Informatica's key strengths and conform to company standards.
