Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer - Product Definition

Commutable from Cambridge, Thetford, St Neots, Harlow, Luton and the surrounding areas, the Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer will be joining an established organisation at the forefront of Power Electronics technology.

The Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and defining SMPS solutions based on customer and market driven requirements. Other responsibilities will also include providing support to the applications team; participate in the design verification testing and characterisation of modules and use advanced simulation and prototyping techniques to develop and validate algorithms and topologies.

The successful applicant should have a degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering and a proven background in the following:

- Design of Switch Mode Power Supplies (Flyback, Forward and Half Bridge topologies).

- Magnetics Design.

- Control loop Theory.

- Familiar with digital circuit design, microcontrollers and FPGAs.
