We are now on the lookout for a Technical Delivery Manager to lead the transition of services from development and project delivery into production. The IT Operations team that you will be working with consists of approximately 30 staff based in Central London who support and operate this market leading company internationally.

Whilst you will be a known leader in the team, you will not have direct reports as this role is a technical role that will lead a wider audience across support and business teams. However, you will be the point of escalation and the "go-to" individual to ensure project deliverable, development and service requests are completed to high standards. You will also ensure that best practices and design principles are not compromised.

You will also manage the technology life cycle ensuring that end of life and legacy technologies are replaced. This will cover analysis, design, deployment and operations of IT software, database and hardware systems.

Responsibilities:

Technical leadership for end-to-end application stack, infrastructure, communications, database and regulatory compliance.

Determine, recommend and implement hardware and software upgrade for business applications, server hardware, network equipment, desktop and laptop.

Develop and implement low level service design and standards for network, servers, databases, wireless technology and cloud providers.

Manage and further develop relationships with vendors.

Ensure that services are capable of meeting changing business demands.

Essential attributes and experiences to have:

* Certifications in Microsoft/Cisco/VMware technologies

* Strong hands-on/technical knowledge of core technologies including but not limited to Linux, Windows Servers, Active Directory, MS SQL and core Network/Cisco technologies like LAN/WAN, subnets, firewalls, VLAN's, and VPN using Cisco switches, routers and ASA's.

* Hands-on/technical knowledge of VMware technologies including ESX 3.5 and ESXi 4.1, vCenter Server, Update Manager, and desktop virtualization.

* DevOps or Continuous delivery experience preferred. Including technologies such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible and Automation.

* Good exposure of user environment management, including desktops/laptops, profile management, software delivery.

* Proven technical and people leadership skills with the capability to mentor staff members.
