I am recruiting an experienced Engineering Supervisor to work for a FTSE 250 engineering support services organisation. This role functions within their Marine Division, which provides vital engineering services to key clients, such as the Royal Navy.

You will be responsible for managing activities assigned by the Estates Manager, this role assumes the responsibility for assigned maintenance personnel and sub-contractors in the undertaking of maintenance activities, relating to the upkeep of buildings and infrastructure services at Rosyth Business Park, ensuring tasks are carried out in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Key Accountabilities:

* To supervise/co-ordinate the NRT and the Telecoms teams for the maintenance of site infrastructure and buildings.

* Undertake planned and corrective maintenance operations.

* To assist the Dockmaster with ship movements when required.

* To carry out the role of Authorised Person (AP1), ensuring that the sites High Voltage Distribution System is operated safely, carrying out switching and permit issuing. I.A.W. PPSOPU353

* To ensure the safe operation of the dockyard control room including the operation of the frequency changers, & HV diesel generator and carry out the monitoring of the main basin level and drainage system.

* Carry out role of Incident Manager I.A.W. Emergency Plan (NERO).

* Carry out recovery actions in the event of a loss of electrical and mechanical supplies to all areas especially in silent hours. Provide emergency services and supplies to all ships during silent hours.

* Carry out the role of Site Clearance Officer for all electrical services.

* Incident and on site controller for the Oil Spill Contingency Plan.

* Run weekly planning reports as required (backlog, update percentage progress etc.)

* Ensure the weekly issued maintenance or corrective actions raised are carried out in the appropriate timescales.

* Assist with the design, planning, supervision and control all electrical projects for PPS.

* Assist with the, update and control all electrical documentation to ensure compliance with company procedures & statutory regulations.

* Assist in training and developing new or temporary staff.

Requirements:

* Minimum ONC/HNC in Engineering or equivalent experience.

* Proven experience working in a supervisory position.

* High Voltage Distribution System experience

* 17th Edition is desirable.
