Energy Engineer - Surrey / Hampshire - up to £38,000 + benefits

Location: surrey/ Hampshire boarder

Traveling requirements: 40% travel required across the UK

A leading defence and security consultancy are looking to bring in an experienced energy engineer to join their building services division.

We are looking for an experienced, autonomous energy engineer who is able to come in and support the building services division having the opportunity to work on a very interesting and diverse portfolio of projects and programmes. The aim is to enable you to work your way up to a junior energy manager or junior energy consultant.

* The role will be supporting the business in reducing costs implementing energy efficiencies, environmental impacts across the UK sites.

* Helping different sites group property identify energy efficiency opportunities through efficient energy systems, operational control and behaviour change

* Stress this is not a hands on maintenance/installation role, but the candidate needs to understands energy systems and the optimisation of them from an energy efficiency perspective

* Participating in Energy workshops, energy management review meetings and energy conferences

Skills & Qualifications required:

* Degree in Engineering, Science or Building Services

* Experience in undertaking technical energy audits is essential.

* Building services or energy management or physics but then taken building service or energy management

* Carrying out energy audits of buildings

* Energy efficiency

* HVAC system audit equipment

* If they have gone into a building and done building audits it needs to have included HVAC systems

* Being able to understand heating, ventilation through a BMS (building management system) system interface

Desirable:

Demonstrable experience of delivering energy efficiency and controls optimisation works is desirable.

* A sound working knowledge of BMS is desirable.

* Experience in developing or interpreting energy models is desirable.

* Applicants must be fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
