My Client is a FTSE-250 Defence & Engineering company responsible for a vast variety of supportive services globally. Currently they are recruiting within their marine division based in Rosyth and are interested in hearing from candidates with Communications or Marketing experience to provide continuity of service to customers and a wide range of support to the department.

This role is based at my clients Rosyth site, where they undertake engineering projects across Naval and Commercial Marine, Oil and Gas, Renewables and Specialised Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

* Support PR & Communications Business Partner (BP) with the production and distribution of internal communications, including bimonthly magazine, daily/weekly bulletins and Team Briefs.

* This role includes drafting interesting and timely content; adapting wording to ensure messages are relevant and engaging to different audiences; proofreading and conducting interviews with a range of people across all levels of the business - forming excellent relationships with them, and external contacts, along the way

* Co-ordinate and support corporate/external events and prepare any marketing/communication material. Support and co-ordinate internal events and prepare all materials.

* Advise and guide employees on use of brand guidelines and provide templates, where necessary. Advise employees on various communication channels available and the relevant channels for their particular communication requirements.

* Assist with external communications, including collating data for media releases and supporting media facilities.

* Perform miscellaneous/ad hoc tasks, including rewriting copy for various departments, ordering stationery and catering, arranging PPE, booking security access for and escorting visitors, and helping to ensure that the internal communication process is followed across the site.

This role involves good time management and personal work prioritisation. The person who fulfils the role will also be one of the main Comms contacts for implementing and driving Continuous Improvement within the team.

Skills & Behaviours

* Experience in previous Comms role, including sourcing and drafting copy, proofreading and seeking approvals for content

* Proficient user of MS Office suite of software, particularly MS Excel/MS Word

* Experience in previous Comms role is desirable

* Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks undertaken

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Valid UK Driving Licence
