SC Technical Architect - London/Remote - 7 Month Contract

My client, a large technology and outsourcing organisation are looking for 2 Technical Architects to join a challenging project within the Public Sector. The role will run for around 7 months initially and can offer a competitive daily rate as well as being able to offer remote working.

Role Background:

* This role is for 2 Architects to join a project working on a Data Centre Migration from the customers current provider into 2 client data centres.

* You will be required to document the required migration approach taking into consideration the existing application/server estate and target infrastructure designs.

* Produce migration documents and artefacts to support the recommended migration approach.

* Liaise with incumbent suppliers and oversee migration activities and manage offshore/ onshore resources to meet key milestones and deliverables.

* Interpret tooling outputs (e.g. Platespin Recon, CMDB, Servicenow Discovery) to complete group and wave planning / workshop outputs/ documentation which cover the server estate mapping and application to application mapping, as a minimum to support the successful migration.

Required Skills:

* Experience of infrastructure transformation programmes including public and private cloud adoptions, including actual migration and transition from existing operating model to target operating model.

* Strong knowledge and experience of infrastructure design.

* Strong knowledge of Linux, Unix and Windows Operating Systems.

* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills required.

* Experience of working with and managing teams both onshore/ offshore.

* Prior experience of large migration projects is essential, ideally within the Public Sector.

* Candidates should also hold a valid SC Clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the process.
