A vacancy has arisen for an experienced web developer to join our team in Newcastle Gateshead.

You'll be working on a varied range of different client projects, from websites and bespoke web application development, to custom ecommerce projects, turning completed artwork or templates into finished websites.

It's a technical role on a small team, so your input will be valued in all aspects of project delivery and you'll have a good degree of autonomy in the approaches and methodologies you use. Some of your time will be spent supporting and maintaining clients' websites.

Essential skills

- PHP and MySQL including object oriented code

- Wordpress custom plugin development

- Experience working with ecommerce systems including woocommerce

- Taking static HTML / CSS templates to dynamic CMS powered websites

Desirable skills

- CSS / HTML / Javascript

- Laravel / October CMS

- Working with third party APIs

- Linux and Apache administration

Reporting directly to the owner and working closely with other designers and developers in a tight knit team you'll need to be self-motivated and a good communicator. With a well-rounded skillset you should be flexible enough to turn your hand to different tasks in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
