Description: We are growing our talented and fun Digital team and looking for inquisitive and skilled Cloud DevOps Engineers who want to work on projects that will have a tangible impact. We have exciting projects upcoming - come and join us. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in Agile Scrum/Kanban teams while delivering large-scale infrastructure projects on AWS. The Cloud DevOps Engineer will be experienced in the design and implementation of CI/CD tools to compile, package and deploy code to various CI/CD environments

Responsibilities:

* Translates business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions with guidance from senior colleagues using an agile and story point based methodology

* Collaborates with architects and/or software consultants to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs

* Develops, configures, or modifies complex integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments by designing and coding component-based applications using various programming languages

* Validates and executes component integration test (CIT) scenarios to identify application errors and ensure software solutions meet functional specifications

* Facilitates the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications by packaging solutions for deployment

* Supports systems integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) by providing insight to testing teams in order to ensure the appropriate depth of test coverage

* Participates and coaches others in all software development life cycle phases by applying and sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls

* Own production of documentation and related artefacts as part of the user story deliverables

* Integrate testing and quality assurance as part of the SLDC including the writing of test plans, test strategies using industry standard best practises and tooling

Person Specification:

* Security Cleared (SC) or able to meet SC clearance requirements

* Strong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail; able to perform root cause analysis

* Ability to be a self-starter and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Essential Technical Skills:

* 5+ Years experience in infrastructure development / systems administration or a related field

* 3+ Years experience working on projects involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)

* 3+ Years experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions

* 3+ Years experience writing technical documentation in a software development environment

* 3+ Years experience in working in enterprise scale AWS deployments covering IaaS, PaaS and SaaS

* Extensive experience in orchestration using Cloud Formation

* Extensive experience in using Chef

* Extensive experience in RHEL 7+

* Extensive experience in Ruby, Python and Bash
