Service Desk IT Support Technician / First & Second Line Desktop Engineer with excellent Desk Side and Remote Troubleshooting skills is required for a well-established Company based in Trafford, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, North West England.

SALARY: up to £25,000 per annum

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Service Desk IT Support Technician / First & Second Line Desktop Engineer that has excellent Desk Side and Remote Troubleshooting skills.

Working as the Service Desk IT Support Technician / First & Second Line Desktop Engineer you will join the Helpdesk Team supporting the Company’s EMEA IT Users both at Desk Side and Remotely.

As the Service Desk IT Support Technician / First & Second Line Desktop Engineer you will log, handle / troubleshoot and resolve or escalate service requests and incidents, ensuring a high level of customer service is always maintained.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Service Desk IT Support Technician / First & Second Line Desktop Engineer include:

                                                                                           Log, handle, resolve and/or escalate service requests and incidents supporting both in person and via remote technology

                                                                                           Ownership of computer replacement program for multiple European business units

                                                                                           Management of various Windows Servers (2008/2012/2016)

                                                                                           Involvement in global IT projects, such as: Active Directory domain migration, Office365 Migration, Sophos Anti-Virus roll-out

                                                                                           Oversee telecoms for the UK business, including mobile phones and fixed lines

                                                                                           Liaise with and manage a number of suppliers

                                                                                           Involvement in global back-up solution

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Key Experience:

                                                                                           Previous experience supporting Windows 7/10 operating systems

                                                                                           A solid understanding of ITSM frameworks, such as ITIL (certification is an advantage)

                                                                                           Some experience working with Active Directory / DNS / DHCP

                                                                                           Experience in supporting remote users

                                                                                           A solid understanding of network protocols

Desired Experience:

                                                                                           Full driving license

                                                                                           Experience using SCCM to provide support and deploy OS / Applications

                                                                                           Experience working in a global, matrix organisation
