Linux / Engineer / Ubuntu / AWS / Docker / Infrastructure / £325 - £380 per day / 4 months

A Senior Linux Excellent written Engineer is required for a 4 month contract paying up to £380 per day. You will be tasked to support and manage a complex web and video delivery infrastructure including supporting tools

As the Senior Linux Engineer you will be responsible for delivery and service improvements across a variety of technologies.

Key Requirements:

- Linux systems administration (ideally including Ubuntu)

- Experience of communicating with development teams as well as internal / external stakeholders

- Knowledge of DevOps Concepts such as Continuous integration

- Jenkins / Bamboo

Desirable:

- Good understanding and working knowledge of DevOps Concepts such as Puppet, Terraform and Ansible

- Agile / Kanban experience

- Understanding of load balancers, caching and the function of a CDN.

- Able to code reliable and well-documented scripts in Python, Bash and/or Perl.

- Git/Subversion

- basic database administration (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

- containerisation (e.g. Docker) and container clustering.

- Ability to find, design and implement improvements to working practices and opportunities to automate away the common and mundane.
