A Business Systems Analyst is required to join a FTSE 250 engineering and support services organisation based in Bristol/Keynsham. Within the solutions team you will deliver collaborative solutions for use by the entire UK defence maritime enterprise.

You will use appropriate analytical tools and techniques to investigate and analyse business problems and new system capability requirements. Your key responsibilities will be:

* Facilitate change by providing analysis and support to customers and be responsible for leading projects through the full system development lifecycle

* Help the business implement technology solutions in a cost effective way by determining the requirements and communicating clearly to stakeholders

* Investigate user/customer requirements, opportunities and problems

* Analyse requirements for adherence to business objectives

* Define customer requirements and evaluate technical solutions

* Use data analysis and modelling techniques to develop and maintain data structures to support business solutions

* Use business modelling techniques to develop current and desired scenarios

* Assist in the design of components of systems and solutions to produce effective design documentation i.e. user stories, data flows, data maps

* Provide support to bids, tenders, testing and training functions

We are looking for someone with excellent analytical skills along with a strong background business systems analysis. Experience and skills required:

* Comprehensive experience of the full system development lifecycle

* Experience of data modelling and database design

* Root cause analysis and problem solving experience
