This company is looking for a IT support technician to join their established support team In this role, you will be part of a team of dedicated Service Desk Technicians that provide an excellent service to our customers. You will follow processes and procedures to drive efficiencies. They are based in Wakefield at the Calder Park Business Park, just off junction 39 of the M1.

Your main responsibilities:

- First point of contact for incoming calls on the IT Service Desk, ensuring all incidents and requests are logged, prioritised and assigned appropriately to meet KPI's.

- Ensure that incidents and requests are dealt with effectively and escalated as required.

- Effectively manage own time and work load correctly.

- Proactively develop own product knowledge alongside support from management.

- Ensure knowledge and data capture processors are adhered to.

Property and equipment responsible for:

- Computer and associated equipment

- Maintain a good standard of personal appearance and a manner of professionalism whenever engaged in company business.

- Promote good relations and morale within the office, company and associated companies.

Qualities they look for:

- Ability to translate the language of customers into useful technical information and vice versa.

- Supportive and rapport building customer service skills.

- Familiarity with the structure and operation of IT departments would be an advantage.

- Knowledge of Microsoft packages: word, power point, excel, email.
