Title: Software Build Engineer - Unix
Location: Ireland
Salary: flexible, depending on level of experience
Leading global technology company is looking to hire 2 further Software Build Engineers for their growing team
in Ireland.
You will be at the centre of the software development process in delivering the best operating system and applications to customers. The role requires coordination and collaboration with a variety of teams, including software, hardware, QA, Operations, and engineering program managers to build and release software.
This involves performing build engineering tasks, optimizing build systems, documentation, and coordination with Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) to compile, assemble, and release software.
Typical build engineers have the following experience:
-Bachelors, Masters, or equivalent experience in Computer Science.
-macOS, iOS, or UNIX development experience.
-UNIX administration and strong software debugging skills.
Knowledge of operating system, network, or compiler concepts.
The following skills/experience are nice-to-have or willingness to learn in these areas:
-Programming in Objective-C, Swift, JavaScript, or Python.
-Familiarity with version control systems such as subversion, git, or bitbucket.
-Authoring automation tools.
