An industry-leading organisation in the design, build and operation of energy networks within the UK market is currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager to play an integral role in the next stage of their growth. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation working on multiple applications ranging in size from gas-fired CHP to major energy centres.

Scope of work

Reporting into the Central London headquarters, as Health & Safety Manager you will be tasked with managing and co-ordinating health and safety across multiple projects. These facilities will generally either be under construction or fully operational. Whilst the majority of sites under your remit will be London-based, there will be occasional travel across the United Kingdom to ensure health and safety at sites further afield.

Responsibilities for this role will encompass maintaining permit to work systems, writing method statements and carrying out risk assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all sites. It is important that the Health & Safety Manager ensures communication, awareness and implementation of all safety procedures across each project and supports all inspections in the workplace.

You will:

* Have a proven record working in Health & Safety with power generation applications.

* Have experience in producing permits to work, risk assessments and method statements.

* Hold experience in CDM regulations.

* Ideally have experience of steam generation and pressure systems.

* Be willing to commute across London to a number of different sites they are currently working on.

The company is experiencing significant growth as it continues to secure and develop projects across the United Kingdom; these projects range in size from single-site boiler rooms to large new-build energy centres. They are also expanding with new offices set to come online across the UK over the next year.
