MySQL DBA

A brand-new opportunity has just become available for a MySQL DBA to join an innovative international tech company that is providing highly-scalable high-volume software to some of the world's leading brands. The successful MySQL DBA will be given the opportunity to work on projects to design and implement new technology solutions, as well as work with other teams within the business to resolve issues and requests.

Working as a MySQL DBA your role will also include:

* Providing day-to-day support to global production and test database systems.

* Contributing to and maintaining documentation for databases processes and procedures.

* Exploring new technologies (cloud and on-prem) to help drive innovation and modernisation.

* Provide mentorship to development teams during design and optimisation of new and key high-volume systems.

To be considered for the MySQL DBA position, you will need to demonstrate:

* Strong experience configuring and deploying MySQL/MariaDB databases in a critical production environment.

* Experience of working in a Linux environment.

* Proven scripting in Python and/or Bash.

* Good knowledge around Database failover and backup strategies.

* Experience of optimising high-volume DB systems.
