PHP Developer - Leeds City Centre

Who you'll be working for:

An ambitious Digital Agency based in the City Centre of Leeds situated in a charming and modern office space are looking to complement their software development team with a PHP Developer. The company are a small, nimble digital agency with exciting projects from key clients. The projects are a mix of greenfield and brownfield projects with specialism in the development of backend systems.

What you'll be doing:

As a PHP Developer, you will be taking ownership of software projects from initial requirements gathering to implementation, testing and everything in between. The majority of your work will be backend systems development with a little front end. With a small team, you will wear many hats and you will undertake a Lead position for the Junior Developers. In leading, you will take ownership of their development, providing hands on support and mentoring on a daily basis.

Skills & Experience:

* Around 3-4 years of experience using PHP.

* Extremely knowledgeable about MVC and in particular Laravel.

* Database experience, ideally MySQL.

* An understanding of writing and undertaking testing.

* Knowledge of front-end technologies i.e. JavaScript, HTML, CSS, VueJS (beneficial)

This role would be ideal for a Developer who is looking to progress their career in a hands-on development capacity that will allow you to gain experience in managing and growing a team. Initially you will be responsible for one Junior Developer however this will go to two within a matter of months. Beyond this, the company have aggressive growth plans of which you will be pivotal.
