This company is looking for a Junior Developer to join their expanding development department. They are looking for a motivated and self-driven software developer that is eager to start their career in the world of IT.

As a Junior Developer you will be participating in the team's development lifecycle whereby they adhere to the SCRUM methodology. You will be expected to liaise with stakeholders, gather requirements from specifications, collaborate with team members and produce high quality unit testable code.

You will be working on their internal toolset and in some instances will be required to work on customer engagements.

This role will be based in their office in London.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities that you will be required to take charge of are:

- Design reusable extensible solutions

- Output high quality code

- Collaboration with the development team and the wider company

- Participation in all SCRUM Ceremonies

- Drive forward technical change as required

- Reduce existing technical debt

- Provide support and assistance to product users

- To be involved in requirements gathering and PBI specifications

Qualifications

You must hold a degree of 2.1 or higher in Computer Science or a related subject.

Requirements

The following skills are essential for this role:

- Experience with C#

- Experience with databases - Relational or NoSQL

- Web Design

- An understanding of OO and its fundamentals

- Knowledge of agile methodologies

- Knowledge of SDLC

- A good problem solver with the ability to adapt to the challenge

Desirables

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous for this position:

- Experience with additional languages, such as - Java, Python, TypeScript

- Design Patterns

- Unit Testing Experience

- Exposure to Angular Development

- TFS

- Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code

- Visual Studio Online (VSO)

- JIRA Service Desk experience

- MySQL Workbench or SSMS

- RoboMongo
