Desktop Support Team Leader

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Desktop Support Team Leader / Service Desk Manager to join this Blue-Chip, rapidly expanding company based in Hemel Hempstead. This is part of on-going expansion, involving many large-scale projects whilst working with cutting-edge tech.

As the successful Desktop Support Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the Service Desk team (up to 13 people), act as a technical escalation point, lead by example as well deliver exceptional customer services and technical support when need be (occasional weekend work required).

As the Service Desk Manager / Desktop Support Team Leader, you will boast a strong track record of overseeing and man-managing a busy helpdesk (c.13 people), coupled with an unrivalled customer focused manor. We are looking for someone already in a management/team leader role that wants to continue within this field.

Key skills needed for the Desktop Support Team Leader:

* Proven extensive experience within a similar managerial role, with the ability to oversee team performance and relevant projects (ideally teams of up to 13 or so)

* Experience of managing formal SLA's as well as mentoring more junior members of staff and maintaining the team's morale

* Previous hands-on technical experience, covering all aspects of a helpdesk

* Technical understanding of hardware, security threats, Windows security model and network infrastructure

* Excellent customer service and people skills - providing a first class service is a must!

* ITIL knowledge and Basic Service Management experience would be preferable

* Passionate attitude, with a pro-active approach to work

* Flexibility to participate in occasional out of hours work when / if required

Location: Hemel Hempstead - Hertfordshire

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + 15% bonus + benefits
