I'm currently working with a rapidly expanding engineering business in Sheffield which is now looking to add an Electronics Design Engineer to its current engineering team. This role has come about purely from company growth. Despite the role being based in Sheffield, this is a home working opportunity!

You will only be required to go to the office 1-2 days per month, so if you have a home set up, this is the role for you!

In addition to the home working benefit our client is offering a competitive salary, free parking, great facilities and other company benefits.

The essential required skills are:

* 6 years' experience in relevant fields developing electronics hardware.

* Strong background in analogue electronics design.

* Strong background in digital electronics design.

* Schematic capture and PCB layout skills are essential.

* Ability to prototype and build circuitry using SMD components.

* Enthusiasm for continuous learning.

* Experience of designing for manufacture (Cost reduction, Component Optimisation, Assembly Optimisation).

Advantageous skills/experience:

* Experience with Firmware.

* Experience of using Proteus Design Suite.

* Proficient with Jira and Bitbucket.

* FPGA Implementation.

* Experience with Infra-red Measurements.

* Appreciation of industrial environments and designing for reliability.
