Infrastructure Solution Architect (3 days per week)

Role:

* Provide technical Leadership

* Lead requirements/planning workshops and planning/design activities

* Lead the creation of a High Level Design to enable performance / availability testing of the SD-X with the Alpha application

* Lead and conduct the assessment of the current server stack and how it supports the Alpha Application and its requirements; identify gaps.

* Lead and Conduct an assessment of the suitability of the platform(s), and determine how DR targets may be met (through tooling as appropriate)

* Lead the execution of performance and availability tests

Skills:

Infrastructure Solution Architect with skills and experience of the following:

- Infrastructure (X86 Hardware, Linux, HA/DR)

- Virtualisation (VMware)

- Database based systems

- Stack analysis

- Design and planning experience for multi-tiered application environments

- Design and conduct of testing for Infrastructures (Performance, Availability)

- Experience of Superdome-X would be useful

- Ability to engage widely within the organisation and to get advice and input from a broad range of personnel
