Bring your operational information security experience to protect EUMETSAT’s satellite systems.

With an increasing desire to protect the data from our satellites, we are looking for an Operations Security Engineer to support all security aspects of our current and future operational satellite systems.

Your role at EUMETSAT

With extensive experience of IT security management systems, gained in a 24/7, high-availability operations environment, you will support the maintenance and evolution of our Information Security Management System. This is an opportunity to work with partners and forums to identify policies, procedures and practices that safeguard our operational satellite systems and infrastructure. You will identify threats and vulnerabilities to our current systems and help to shape our approach to future missions. Your knowledge of security related compliance, network security solutions and architecture is essential, along with your ability to investigate and respond to potential threats and breaches.

You should have excellent interpersonal and team working skills, with the ability to express complex information clearly to our staff and partners. You will use your organisational skills to ensure our approach to security is methodical and that we focus on the accuracy of our findings. This role will be challenging, so you need to be resilient, with the ability to manage your workload autonomously. You should also have an in depth knowledge of, and experience of working to, ISO/IEC 27001 & 27002 standards
