Role: Infrastructure Architect

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Location: London

Role Description:

* The Infrastructure Architect produces end-to-end infrastructure designs (including server, desktop and network), putting together technologies from multiple IT systems and departments across the infrastructure domains.

* The Infrastructure Architect will have detailed knowledge and experience of one or more infrastructure domains and have the ability to clearly document and communicate the domain architecture.

* They will have a solid understanding of industry good practice standards to ensure alignment of architecture with detailed design and of industry standards.

* The Infrastructure Architect ensures technical quality and assurance by participating in Architecture Governance and Technical Design peer review processes, working closely with customer and internal stakeholders as appropriate.

* Infrastructure architects are also aware of the latest platform and cloud technologies underpinning digital solutions, designing the most appropriate solution to deliver requirements and integrate with legacy.

Typically, the Infrastructure Architect tasks will include:

* Define and document technical infrastructure

* Obtain approval from governing board(s) to implement the technical infrastructure

* Communicate technical infrastructure to all relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

* ISEB

* Prince2

* ITIL

* Accreditation in a recognized Architecture Framework.

* Technical domain specific technologies e.g. Data Centres, VMWARE Virtualisation, AWS and Azure Cloud & Load Balancing.
