Senior C# Developer - Work with microservices - St Albans, Hertfordshire
Senior C# Developer required with skills in .NET and multithreaded / distributed systems. You must be experienced in or keen to work with a microservice architecture where my client has over 100 services in their production environment. As a Senior C# Developer this should give you an idea of the scale and challenges you will face in this 24/7, minimal downtime and automated environment.
With 10-15 releases going into production each week this a genuinely rapid deployment environment where you can see your work quickly go into production. My client is constantly evolving their offering to customers by adding new services, rewriting and replacing systems to avoid technical debt and building highly resilient, scalable and performant applications.
Your role as a Senior C# Developer offers you the chance to choose your own direction such as coaching / mentoring juniors, architecting new solutions (they have an ideas & request page where suggestions are regularly put into production), working as a full stack web developer and/or getting exposure to .NET Core, message queuing (RabbitMQ, Kafka), Azure, Docker, Redis, CQRS, Angular, Redis, Elasticsearch, Node, Graphite/Grafana, automated testing, DevOps......
Key skills you need for the role of Senior C# Developer:
* .NET and C#
* Multithreaded / distributed systems
* A good academic background (Maths always helps!) or equivalent experience
* Ability to problem solve and think smartly about complex situations
