The Job

As the Account Manager/ Product Support Manager you have direct communication with customers in respect of technical and sales support, and ensure that company activities meet customer requirements, while aligning tasks with company policies and procedures.

You will also be responsible for Indian and other customers, programmes and projects, and will engage internal and local Indian resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with project requirements and objectives. During this process you will apply professional principles, practices and techniques to lead project processes while controlling cost, performance and risk.

Acting as a liaison between customers and the company to address and resolve technical and support issues raised or identified for the customer.

Using a good knowledge of local procedure and procurement process you will be responsible for business development activities within India, plus other nominated regions.

Reporting directly to the Head of Programmes you will identify professional training that would benefit both the company and individual members of staff.

You will be required to maintain a working knowledge of all company products and services.

Experience working overseas

A background in engineering

The ability to manage a diverse workload.

Strong, adaptable communications skills

A passion for understanding and experiencing diverse and different cultures

Some Business Development experience is useful but not essential

Experience of working in project management/business development in India is advantageous.

The primary clients and supply chain are India based (East and West Coast) so the role will involve travel to India. As the role develops, we expect additional countries to be added. Candidates with an appreciation of Indian Business Practices or Indian Defence Procurement would be an advantage.
