A large, UK based, global company is seeking a Data Scientist to join its expanding Patient Transport Services division.

The successful candidate will manage and automate all manual reports in SQL Server using advanced SQL scripts. Integrate various open sources of information for seamless reporting and analysis. Perform data analysis, build predictive modelling etc. and publish business insights in the form of dashboards using Tableau / Power BI tool on a regular basis. Introduce various automated solutions for data cleansing, data quality transformation etc. using machine learning algorithms based solutions in the future.

The Data Scientist key duties will include:
Preparing and sharing various MI reports with key insights and visualisations to internal / external stakeholders through dashboard using Tableau / Power BI tool as per business agreed timelines.Automating various manual reports into SQL Server under SSRS targeting / moving towards no manual reporting.Identifying various open sources of information, constantly integrating these sources for seamless automated MI reporting and constantly improving quality.Creating new metrics and KPIs, guiding the business and deploying effective dashboards to surface them to senior leadership / management.Performing analysis, hypothesis testing, bringing deep insights and building various predictive models in supporting business decision making.Providing informal direction and guidance to other team members on all aspects of analytics from business context and prioritization to technical coaching.Building and prototyping pipeline analysis iteratively to provide insights at scale. Developing a comprehensive understanding of bidding structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for bidding business strategy.Expanding MI reporting support to other business units within the organisation.Developing and constantly improving SSIS, SSAS and SSRS on a regular basis. Essential skills the successful Data Scientist will require:
Previous commercial experience of relational database architectural understanding.Previous commercial experience of SQL and R or Python programming languages.Previous commercial experience in managing large data sets, cleansing, manipulation using programming languages like SQL and R or Python.Previous commercial experience in statistical analysis / hypothesis validation / predictive modelling etc.Previous commercial experience in creating dashboards, analysing figures, integrating sources etc. using Tableau / Power BI tool.A minimum MSc degree in Data Science / Analytics / Big Data / Computer Science.A critical thinker, problem solver, challenger of the status quo and have the ability to question and validate figures and / or empirical findings on an on-going basis. The successful Data Scientist will have the following skills and experience: 
An understanding of relevant industry regulations e.g. supply-chain management, logistics, healthcare.An understanding of Cloud environments like AWS, Azure, BigQuery etc.An understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.Previous collaborating experience within various teams / departments for day to day information, requirements and business process understanding to automate and fix potential gaps.Deploying technological solutions through all aspects of businesses and automate manual tasks to optimise overall productivity and performance. In return, the Data Scientist will receive a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum plus 25 days annual leave, contributory pension, childcare vouchers, employee care scheme and best doctors plus many others.
