We are looking for a talented professional to lead and manage a small team of DevOps engineers in Newbury. If you are organised, driven and have great technical management and looking to take the next step in your career, then you might be the Lead DevOps Engineer we are looking for!

You will be required to help the team to build, design, implement and support cloud platforms to enable clients to look at all of their information, grasp insight and deliver business action.

The technology you will help to improve and create makes this process simple, rapid and repeatable as it will be a layer within an organisation that ingests, distils and interrogates data, delivering insight and measure success against the business objectives.

As the Lead DevOps Engineer you are expected to drive Agile within the core engineering team and other teams involved to deliver advanced information discovery systems powered by data and cloud technologies.

You will also be required to organise the team's time and focus on tasks on hand.

This will be a hands on technical management role where you will be expected to manage, guide team members whilst still being hands on.

Essential Skills Required:

- Experience in Linux environments (RedHat/CentOS)

- Experience in at least one Cloud platform (AWS/Azure/DigitalOcean)

- Experience with Bash/Python

- Experience virtualisation and containers

- Experience of one of the following; Elasticsearch, HBase, Postgres

- Experience with automation (Puppet/Jenkins)

- Experience in CI/CD pipelines
