Senior Web developer

Leeds City Centre

Up to £38k

A digital agency is on the lookout for a Senior Developer to join their team in Leeds team.

They need someone to play a key part in building the agency's digital offering, as well as being central to the web development process. You'll need to be keen to use the latest in web technologies and able to create unique pieces that employ cutting edge browser functionality - as well as having a background in developing slick front end websites for our clients.

Responsibilities

*Develop and deliver unique creative projects using the latest front-end technologies

*Write clean, lean, well-documented code

*Maintain legacy websites

*Work with our account managers to develop a delivery schedule for projects

*Day to day contact with account managers, design team, copywriters and clients

*Liaise with clients to understand their goals and translate them into requirements

Required 3+ years experience in:

*WordPress

*Custom theme development

*Custom plugin development

*Hooks, actions, filters and utilising theme functions

*WooCommerce & child theme development.

*Custom post types & taxonomies

*Multi site

*Plugins:

*Very strong HTML5 and CSS3

*Working knowledge of PHP & MySQL

*Experience with SASS/SCSS

*JavaScript knowledge and knowledge of popular JavaScript libraries/frameworks

*Strong skills with responsive & mobile techniques (including twitter bootstrap grid system)

*Ability to debug front-end site issues using inspector tools
