Based in Cambridge the Senior Software Engineer will be joining and exciting organisation with a focus in the design, development and manufacture of Video Products. This Senior position will see the product through the full product development cycle, utilising research and investigations in the early stages of product research.

Key Requirements:

Excellent experience of C/C++

Good knowledge of network technology and specific programming skills in Linux, HTML, Javascript and Rest API

A good understanding of the sometimes complex relationships between network devices, users, groups, connection types, access rights and system status

Ability to understand a complex problem space and produce well designed, readable, testable, and well documented code

Experience of Networking and IP networks

Experience of Web Technologies and RESTful API development

Experience with optimised database driven management systems

Experience in the design of scalable, highly reliable, failure tolerant systems.

Working knowledge of encryption techniques would also be very useful.

Ability to lead a small team and mentor junior staff
