Job Descriptions

The role of the IT Strategy Coordinator is to help identify and ensure meaningful traceability between enterprise and departmental strategic agendas and to help build maturity in developing and applying strategy in the IT&S function. The role is expected to have significant analysis, engagement, and communications responsibilities - translating strategic thinking into meaningful information for different audiences. It will demand patience, good relationship skills, and a high level of comfort in dealing with ambiguity.

Duties & Responsibilities

Applying a variety of high level business architecture practices and activities to own / ensure: -

Clarity in describing the current and future state business capabilities, their contributions to the strategic agendas and performance of the business, and how they relate to changing organisational priorities, e.g. through qualitative evaluations of various parts of the organisation against a reference model

Efficient and effective change and support planning in IT&S and likely other departments by ensuring traceability between the short-term and enduring strategic imperatives / agendas and change pipelines - flagging and challenging any disconnected or conflicting agendas.

Applying a range of well-managed and strategy-focused practices and activities including: -

Identifying and surfacing strategic and enduring principles and for the organisation, and formalising them and communicating them through a wide range of means and influencers across the organisation.

Co-developing and formalising aspects of corporate, departmental, and service line strategies - including high level costing and scheduling.

Engagement and relationship development will be required: -

With departmental stakeholders from frontline to senior management levels

With key user group stakeholders, e.g. oncology clinicians and consultants

Skills and Experience

Experience working in a reputable consulting organization.

Experience working in the healthcare vertical or a meaningful adjacency (e.g. PMI).

Experience applying Business Architecture and/ or IT planning techniques (e.g. Business Capability Mapping)

Experience in developing Strategic IT Plans and roadmaps for a corporate organization.

Experience working alongside and collaborating with a broad range of IT disciplines (e.g. vendor relationship management, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, mobility).

Ability to build relationships with and influence individuals at varying levels of seniority and scope.

Good understanding of business architecture practices and approaches.

BA or BSc in a technology or strong thought-related discipline, e.g. computer science, philosophy, economics.
