Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Coventry, West Midlands, UK

I am looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading UK company in bespoke solutions to the metrology market. My client boast a high profile customer base including clients from the Aerospace, Automotive and Orthopaedic industries amongst others and supply both in the UK and globally.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will join a fairly small but expanding company based in their West Midlands offices.

The successful candidate will have the following;

* A broad range of industry experience - 8 years minimum

* Experienced in using 3D cad software or similar - Creo, Solidworks

* Experience in developing 3D models and 2D production drawings

* Assisting collegues during design, asembling, testing, installation and servicing.

* Experience with the design of Special purpose machinery, bespoke machine tool design and machine integration.

* Experienced with FEA

* Experience with gauges, measurement equipment, gear design and dimensional metrology would be advantageous.

Note: Occasional travel throughout the UK and overseas may be required.
