I am urgently seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst for a 4-6 month contract based in central London to start asap. The client is a global commercial business with an exciting and growing cyber security function. You will need an in depth IT security background covering: operating systems, firewalls, SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, networking / operating systems etc. You will need to be able to analyse and mitigate issues, and create solutions to deal with a variety of cyber threats to business.

Key deliverables expected in the role:

* Cyber Incident Response Plan: partake in IR, continuously test and improve processes for IR.

* Investigate alerts, anomalies, errors, intrusions, and malware which could compromise the business.

* Incident analysis, root cause analysis and mitigation of cyber security threats.

* Collaborate with other teams in the security and risk function to mitigate threats, analysing threats & intelligence for relevancy, impact, and exposure.

* Network, endpoint, and log analysis (by utilizing SIEM, IPS, Firewall, Proxy, AV etc).

* Liaise with the company's external vulnerability management service and provide reports and metrics to the security function.

Key skills required:

* Demonstrable Cyber Incident Response/Forensics/Vulnerability analysis background.

* Demonstrable knowledge of: current and emerging advanced cyber threats, attack and evasion techniques, command and control infrastructures and insider threat behaviour.

* Firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, Endpoint protections, web/email security, IAM, Vulnerability management tools.

* Windows & UNIX / Linux OS.

* Qualification in one or more of the following: CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, CEH.
