Application Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Application Specialist to join a FTSE 250 engineering organisation based in Hamilton. You will be supporting the IFS application and technology stack across a sector throughout the application lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the IFS application from conception to retirement including maintenance, support and upgrade

* 3rd line support for the IFS application and provide resolutions to issues

* Management of the transition of applications into the production environment, ensuring all changes are tested, documented and version controlled

* Work with Central IT to create and manage the application development environments

* Release management for the promotion of application development code and configuration

* Responsibility for process and procedures

* Identify new ways to exploit functionality and ensure changes are agreed with the stakeholder community

Key skills and competencies required:

* Proven experience supporting an ERP application, IFS ideal but not essential

* Strong application support experience - ideally 3rd line

* PL/SQL and SQL experience

* Knowledge and experience of working in an Oracle environment

* Excellent communication skills
