Senior IT Buyer (Procurement Lead) - Contract - Guildford/Woking

Duration: 3 Months

Start Date: September 2018

Rate: £300-£400 per day dependant on experience

Computer Futures are seeking a Senior IT Buyer Procurement Lead to join a key client of ours based in Guildford/Woking for an initial 3 month contract.

The Senior IT Buyer procurement lead is responsible for the execution of strategic and complex IT sourcing projects through the full procurement lifecycle.

The Role:

* Execution of strategic and/or complex IT sourcing projects, leading through the full procurement lifecycle and handover to the procurement team.

* Act as liaison between 3rd party suppliers, ensuring stakeholder requirements and concerns are fully understood and ensure these are covered in the negotiations with the suppliers.

* Ensure consistent procurement processes are undertaken to select the supplier that will provide optimum value and delivery. This will include as appropriate, assessment of supplier risk, objective management of evaluation processes, negotiation and contract execution.

* Exposure to high budgets and dealing with senior stakeholders

What skills you'll have:

* Ability to lead negotiations and support in the development of negotiation strategies for large and complex projects and contracts projects in a technology sector, preferably IT.

* Well-developed negotiation skills in a IT/technology category underpinned by detailed contract knowledge, including complex service scope and SLAs

* Ability to understand complex and abstract concepts (legal, technical and/or commercial) and being able to present the information in an informative and simplified manner; such that key decisions can be made quickly and objectively

* Have a good understanding of license models of common IT software such as Microsoft and SAP.

* Experience in working in a high-performance, fast-pace organization where individual performance is not only measured at the individual but also at the team level.

* Strong leadership qualities and excellent influencing and interpersonal skills.

* Great communication levels across Senior C-Level Stakeholders.
