E-Commerce Development Manager

About the Role

The E-Commerce Development Manager is responsible for overall team delivery of architecture, design, development, quality assurance and support for various web and mobile technologies. The E-Commerce Development Manager will assist in driving the technological needs and ensuring the timely and quality delivery of code by working with cross functional teams to prioritise and execute against a plan.

Role and Responsibilities

*Develop new features, plugins, and bug fixes to enhance the quality of our customer experience on our Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform

*Responsible for on time deployment of all website activities and updates, including timely platform upgrades and security patches

*Keep up with the latest industry specific technological trends, bringing expertise in how we can innovate our platform

*Drive the technical aspects of solutions, providing technical guidance and expertise to teams

*Drives continuous improvement to deliver solutions that are at the forefront of industry leading techniques while also adhering to analytical best practices

*Understand, teach, and sponsor technical skills development in support of high quality code components, systems, and solutions

*Work with IT, Finance and Operations monitoring transactions and order processing

*Monitor projects to ensure they are proceeding as planned and on schedule/budget

*Review and challenge (if needed) time estimates from solution providers

*Escalate issues to management that can/are affecting on-time/on-budget delivery

*Ensure solution quality and effective delivery of solution to the business

*Perform/coordinate functional testing of the deliverables from service providers. Coordinate the review of Test Plans and User Acceptance testing

*Define go-live plan and coordinate its execution. Ensure updated system documentation is maintained

*Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact within the eCommerce organization for cross functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement and test eCommerce initiatives

About You

*3-5 years' experience in a technical role leading/mentoring by example

*Proficiency with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics

*Strong understanding of online search and online marketing

*Very strong analytical skills

*Strong software development leadership skills

*Exceptional judgment, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving skills

*Comfortable with thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo, respectfully and courageously, to deliver results in a dynamic environment

*Experience with Agile methodology and use of JIRA
