Java Developer / Data Engineer (Java Scala Big Data NoSQL Spark Hadoop). Successful ad tech firm is seeking an experienced Java Developer to build applications and solutions (utilising Java and / or Scala technology) that leverage the company's data to generate new insights. You will have the opportunity to experiment with new and innovative technologies to solve complex, large scale data scalability challenges.

The company's systems generate a large data set, approximately 350GB per hour, distributed over many servers and their ecosystem is based on tools including Spark, Cassandra and Redshift that allow the data to be retrieved for intensive analysis, providing valuable data insights. With your experience of working on large scale data sets, you will have the freedom to seek out new and interesting ways of using the data to maximise monetary value.

Requirements:

*Experience solving complex large-scale data problems

*Java and / or Scala programming knowledge

*Knowledge of standard data structures, mining approaches and algorithms

*Knowledge of Python

*Knowledge of NoSQL

*Excellent communication skills

*Desirable: Spark, Hadoop, Hive, AWS, Redis
