Developer in Test

As part of the Client team you would:

* Contribute and develop our automated functional test capability

* Conduct exploratory testing

* Influence the direction of our test capability

* Champion and coach peers in testing best practices and best of breed technology

* Work with a self-organising and cross functional agile team using techniques such as Test Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming

* Take an active role in user story definition assisting business stakeholders with acceptance criteria

* Participate in regular showcases of new work to the our product owners and other business stakeholders

* Take a pro-active role with production issues and release management

* Strive for continuous improvement within the team

Skills and Experience:

It is essential that you can immediately add value to our team and be able to contribute to our team's velocity from day one. Therefore we think it is essential that you have knowledge and experience of as many of the following items as possible:

* Expert knowledge and experience of creating automated test software using

* Cucumber & Gherkin Language (ATDD)

* Webdriver JS

* Experience of a wide range of open source and commercial web technologies

* JavaScript frameworks (REACT, AngularJS, Node.js, jQuery)

* HTML 5

* CSS 3

* SASS and/or LESS

* Experience of software development for high quality, high capacity, high traffic, high availability websites/systems

* Test Driven Development (TDD)

* Object Orientated Programming (OOP/OOD)

* Service Orientated Architecture (SOA)

* RESTful web services (JSON / XML)

* Experience within agile frameworks and practices

* Scrum, Kanban or Scrum-ban

* User stories (using BDD)

* Continuous Integration/Delivery

* Paired Programming

* Experience with ApplicationLifecycle Management Tools

* Jira and Confluence (or similar)

* Jenkins (or similar)

* SVN and Git (or similar)

Bonus Skills and Experience:

* Responsive design

* Knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)

* Experience with large content/video management systems

* Experience of web based video technologies (VOD/Linear Streaming)

* Experience working with desktop application

* Bachelors' degree or equivalent industry experience
