I'm on the lookout for a Data Engineer for a leading Insurance powerhouse. They are looking to rapidly expand their Analytics team aswell as this they are going through a massive transformation as a company moving towards an Agile working environment.

They are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to come in and interact closely with data scientist to design and implement data-driven solutions.

As a Data Engineer you will be responsible to automate and industrialise repetitive data integration steps, pre-cleaning data used by data scientists to prepare and apply machine learning models. You will also solve data-related problems within the team and implement efficient data pipelines and maintain data pipelines, measuring performance and ensuring good data quality in place by implementing adequate monitoring.

Experience you will need as a Data Engineer:

* Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Data Analytics

* At least 3 years working in a development focused role in either a Data Engineer, Data Science, Big Data or ETL role

* Python development experience - open to R

Nice to have experience as a Data Engineer:

* Good understanding of Machine Learning models

* Experience extracting data from unstructured data sources (text, images, audio, ..)

* Knowledge of the Insurance Industry
