Programme Manager - Infrastructure

A brand-new opportunity for a Programme Manager has arisen, working for an industry leading and truly pioneering software house. Based in Hertfordshire, this hugely successful, innovative, agile company are the biggest of its kind in the UK and now looking for a Programme Manager to establish and develop their portfolio management and project roadmaps across numerous tech stacks for the whole department.

This is a really exciting opportunity where you can use your expert knowledge of practical portfolio, programme and project management practices to help infrastructure teams bring exciting technology to life.

Working as a Programme Manager within this reputable Hertfordshire-based organisation, key responsibilities include:

* Establish visible project portfolio principles and optimise workflow processes for the department to deliver value

* Create and own the infrastructure project portfolio roadmap, managing and optimising value, dependencies and risk across projects and deliverables from a strategic view

* Champion Agile methodology across the department and with stakeholders

* Lead, coach and develop small team of project managers and analysts

* Ensure projects are approved, scheduled and undertaken in a structured and controlled manner

To be considered, your experience will include:

* Proven track record of business success with Agile approaches

* Extensive and in-depth experience of managing at a programme / portfolio level

* Solid experience of managing complex IT infrastructure (Unix/Linux-based ideally) projects and programmes

* Excellent ability to write and present project proposals and reports backed with analysed and visualised data

* Deep experience in effective stakeholder management

This is a new and exciting high-profile leadership role that is critical to the success of the department working directly with key stakeholders.

Salary: £70k - £90k + excellent company benefits

Location: Hertfordshire
