Senior Internal Auditor urgently required for our Government client on an initial 6 month contract (110 working days) + extensions, based in Nottingham.

You will report to the Assurance and Audit Manager / Head of Assurance and Audit, and will support the manager working with business leads, project boards and external stakeholders, facilitating delivery of value and savings and ensuring that assurance and audit programmes are put in place and delivered across all of our contracts. You will be supporting the development of the risk / assurance programme across all contracts, identifying risks and facilitating solutions that deliver improvements at a high level. You are expected to use a range of tools (including, but not limited to, ledger packages, and MS office packages) effectively to aid the assurance and audit process. Ensure compliance with equality legislation, and display active commitment to the need to ensure equality of opportunity and the benefits of diversity.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised accountancy or internal audit qualification (CCAB, CIMA or Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors). You will also hold a relevant business analysis or technical/ informatics qualification. You will have experience of operating and delivering large scale complex projects in the public sector. You will have a strong knowledge of NHS Financial Accounting and public sector commercial and procurement processes.
