Role: XenServer Engineer (Citrix, XEN, virtualisation)

Working alongside an IT client who is looking for an experience Citrix individual who will be required to be on site with the end client with a view to remote work further down the line once established. The client requires you to lead when asked upon the overall processes, whilst setting strategies and evolve according to current technologies.

This opportunity is for an initial 5 month contract located in Edinburgh. The main scope of the project can be identified below.

Required experience:

The following tasks are included in the scope of the Xenserver Technical resource:

1 Ownership and Administration of Xenserver scripted exports

1 Ensure correct runtime window for all data

2 Ensure 100% coverage and data return

3 Enhancements and improvements where agreed

4 Assist the environments team with Dev outputs

5 Document scripts and remove reliance on Root account

2 Populate and Run the scorecard (health check for XenServer environment)

1 Data collection for scorecard

2 Issue resolution to ensure scorecard runs correctly
