This is a new opportunity with a global leader who currently seeks an experienced Analog/Mixed Signal (AMS) Verification Engineer for their established design centre based North London, UK. In this role the Analog/Mixed Signal Verification Engineer will be tasked with supporting the development of power management ICs for hands held consumer devices.

You will be responsible for all aspects of Analog and Mixed Signal functional IC Verification and will be working closely with engineers in other areas including; Analog and Digital IC Design Engineers and Architects and will have the opportunity to work on complex, demanding and rewarding projects with the goal to develop game changing methodologies for customers. Working in conjunction with Verification and design leads to prepare AMS verification plans for new products, you will be involved in writing and validating behavioural models, building and validating test benches and preparing self-checking parametric tests. You will also be validating; top level and sub-block connectivity, full chip functionality and model vs transistor level circuit correspondence.

Industry degree qualified, the successful AMS Verification Engineer will have established experience in a similar role or come from an Analog IC Design background and would like the opportunity to work on different architectures, modelling and programming. The successful applicant will be results driven, have a strong sense of accountability, be analytical with attention to detail. A working knowledge of Cadence design tools: Spectre, Verilog-AMS, Verilog-A or equivalent is required as well as experience using Cadence Analog design tools for transistor block-level characterization/verification using Spectre/HSPICE simulations. Experience developing behavioural models is required as well as knowledge of scripting languages such as PERL, TCL or Python.

For this position you will need an understanding of Analog circuits ideally in power management i.e voltage references, current references, LDOs, DC/DC converters. Knowledge of semiconductor physics is a plus.Excellent communications skills in English are required.
